A Little Copen World
The original capture was somehow a little hazy so ‘auto haze removal’ was applied in post to fix that which seemed to have the effect of darkening the mid-tones. Highlights were also pushed up a bit to enhance the gleaming effect.
Olé!
Whites could easily clip in the sun so the exposure was biased 2 stops darker for this capture. Greens and yellows were toned down a bit in post as the shrubs were getting too much attention. And then the ground was separately darkened a little as it was rather bright because of the sun.
In A World Of Heliconias
A Pale Beauty
This might look like it should’ve been with the exposure biased 2 stops darker. But the original capture was much brighter than this. The light meter in my copy of the camera seemed to have been acting up lately.
Celosia In The Tropics
This was taken against a shady backdrop with the exposure biased 2 stops darker. Dark and mid-tones were further darkened in post and the whole image then brightened to near clipping point after that.
One for All – All for One
Beauty And The Beasts
Despite having underexposed by 2 stops, this image had still come out brighter than this. In post, the areas beside the ‘dragons’ and visitor were darkened locally and then the whole image exposed to the right.
