This was taken against the setting sun and the original capture was somewhat hazy and drab. Reds and yellows were then tweaked in post to fix that.

To capture the smooth flow of waters, the ISO was extended down to 50 to get a slow 0.3-second shutter. It also helped that the sky had happened to be darkening with an approaching thunderstorm.

This was captured from across the lake at the equivalent focal length of about 300mm. It wasn’t cropped in further as I had wanted to include the subjects’ environment.

Despite underexposing the capture by 1-2/3 stops, the sky was still a patch of white. Pulling back the highlights in post though, had thankfully revealed some details in the sky in the raw file.
