Three Orange Cones

These were growing in a congested flower bed and so isolating these was a little challenging, even with a full-frame sensor. Here, the only thing we could do was to tone down the background a bit in post.

This was taken against the light with the exposure biased brighter by 2/3 stop. Shadows were then brightened a tad in post.

Home And Comfy

We’ve photographed these ibexes quite a few times before and so we would usually just pass but this time, it was standing there and staring at us. We just had to oblige.

Living With Mr. Croc

The turtles were swimming in a shady area while the croc was lying in a sunny place. To save highlights, the capture was underexposed a stop. In post, brightening up the shadows produced some noise level of 10 which were left alone as that didn’t seem to be too intrusive at this size.

Pitching Around The Garden

At f/11, the depth-of-field wasn’t going to be very thin out of an APSC sensor. But this faint view of the surroundings was just what I needed for the story.

Edge Of Civilization

The original capture flared quite visibly despite a 2-stop underexposure as this copy of our lens had been giving communication errors and exposure metering issues.

In post, highlights were dialed down and mid-tones in flare areas were separately darkened to mitigate the issue.
