This iguana was some 50 metres or 54 yards away. Nell had to use the 1200mm equivalent crop to capture this and biasing it darker by 1-2/3 stops to keep the highlights. Image was cropped to compose in post.

This king cobra eyed me warily in its glass cage as I positioned my camera near its tail. Lighting in its cage wasn’t that bright and the 2/3-inch sensor Fujifilm camera had already pushed up the ISO to 800 to yield a mere 1/15-second shutter speed.

Thankfully, details remained intact and the image was sharp, even when viewed full size.
