Cathedral Night

This was taken in the typical old fashion way on a tripod as the shutter speed was a slow 0.6 second. A little halo might be seen around the foliage on the right and the edges of the building. This was the result of having used the highlight, shadows and vibrance sliders of the editing software during raw conversion. That was probably the limits of its masking algorithms.

Before Covid struck, this cathedral had used to be opened around lunchtime for any folks who might be seeking some solace and quiet from the hustle and bustle of the city outside.

It was Lent in 2017. I had momentarily lost the live view on my screen and was shooting blind, placing the camera on the floor and estimating the tilt to make the shot without realizing until later that I had a departing visitor in the frame.
