With harsh light, we had thought we were resigned to photographing only those flowers in the shades. But we were pleasantly surprised by such a spectacle as this now and then.
This was taken against dark undergrowth with the exposure biased 2 stops darker.
I wasn’t able to get this composition onsite due to blocking spot lights. This was obtained by rotating the original capture some 10 degrees in post. Some edges had also need to be filled up with the healing brush.
The sun was beating down very hard so we resorted to photographing only those flowers that were out of the harsh sun. This was to avoid harsh shadows in the flora.
A couple of the tulips were in the sun so they were originally unevenly lit. Highlights and shadows were then tweaked in post to fix that.
